The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) is offering to cover a one-year membership with the Long Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) for certain businesses in the Downtown. The types of businesses that are eligible in downtown are defined by the CVB in their package agreement. Businesses that are eligible must meet the following criteria:
- Fall within the Downtown Long Beach Property-based Improvement Districts (PBID) or Business Improvement District (BID). A map of this area is included here.
- Must be a small business with under 50 employees, and not a part of a chain
- Must be a retailer or restaurant
- Businesses that do not qualify for this opportunity include: legal services, accounting or finance services, large corporations including their branch operations, etc.
Purpose: The purpose of this program opportunity is to help bring additional tourism and foot traffic into the Downtown, with a particular focus on social media marketing.
Offer: The DLBA will pay for the $100 one-year membership with the CVB provided only if the business owner commits to taking all the necessary steps to complete one Instagram Reel (video) by the end of 2023, which will be filmed and produced by the CVB. The video will cover various aspects of the business, including the visitor’s experience. DLBA will post this video in conjunction with the CVB and the business account.
