YOUR VOICE & OUR FUTURE MATTER – PBID Elections
The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) is a non-profit community-based organization charged with managing two business improvement districts in Downtown. The mission of the DLBA is to cultivate, preserve, and promote a healthy, safe, and prosperous Downtown. Each year, Downtown Long Beach stakeholders are asked to exercise their voice and ratify a slate of candidates for DLBA’s Board of Directors.
ELECTION DATES
Voting begins July 11 @ 12:00PM and ends on August 9 @ 11:45PM.
BOARD SEATS
This year’s slate will ratify six(6) candidates for open Board seats representing the PBID and DPIA:
PBID AREA: Three (3) stakeholders will represent the PBID Area.
TERMS
Terms are two (2) years.
VOTES REQUIRED TO RATIFY CANDIDATES
The ratification of the slate will be determined by majority vote. a majority shall be determined based only upon the valid returned slates.
VOTE VALUE
Consistent with California State Law governing PBID formation, each returned slate is valued in accordance with the amount of a property owner’s assessment. A majority is calculated using the current amount of the PBID assessments represented by valid returned.
