Hi, my name is Mo Mills and I am the research and public policy analyst at the DLBA. Come take a tour with me of My Downtown!
Get to work.
100 W. Broadway
Usually in the morning after I get to work, I’ll head over to Doly’s and grab an ice coffee and a little pastry… It’s really good, a flaky buttery croissant. It’s the best way to get my day started too!
245 E. Broadway
Hours: Monday – Friday: 6 AM to 12 PM
Saturday: 7 AM to 1 PM
For lunch, there’s this really good Japanese fried chicken spot that just opened, on Long Beach Boulevard— Torisho. They have really good chicken katsu.
730 Long Beach Blvd
Hours: Monday – Sunday: 11 AM to 3 PM, 4 PM to 8 PM
If I need anything at the bike shop or want to stop in and say hi, I’ll go over to Pedal Movement in the Transit Gallery. They are really nice there– and relaxed. And, they have a cute dog. I’ll usually go there and pick up supplies, especially if I am riding during the weekend.
223 E. 1st Street
Hours: Monday – Saturday: 9 AM to 5 PM
After I get off work, I’ll go to Hops & Vines. It’s a great liquor store that has a bunch of craft beer and wines. They have a really wide selection so I’ll pick up a four pack for me and my friends.
Hops & Vines Market
402 E. 3rd Street
Hours: Monday – Saturday: 8 AM to 10 PM
Sunday: 9 AM to 9 PM
Let me know if you’ve been to any of these places!
