The Children’s Maritime Institute, and our parent organization, Los Angeles Maritime Institute, invite you to join us for a coastal awareness educational experience aboard American Pride. This 3-hour round-trip excursion is free to the public. The ship departs from Rainbow Harbor and sails around the island of Long Beach.
Our goal is to raise environmental awareness that leads to personal action to reduce marine plastic pollution and human impacts to our local coastline and its marine organisms. Bilingual (Spanish) materials and docents will be onboard.
On-board hands-on and science activities including marine biology, microplastics, water chemistry, and navigation.
Families and children welcome. Masks required for all passengers.
