Downtown Long Beach Alliance Green Business Academy

The Downtown Long Beach Alliance and Long Beach Sustainability invite Downtown Long Beach businesses to the free Green Business Academy to learn about Green Business Certification and gain access to tools, resources, and training to help your business or organization save money, protect the environment, and become certified.

Join like-minded businesses and work together to achieve Green Business Certification while making your business more environmentally sustainable.

By participating in the Green Business Academy workshop, businesses receive assistance in implementing measures for recycling, purchasing, energy and water efficiency, pollution prevention, and transportation. Implementing these measures helps reduce long-term operating costs while conserving environmental resources. Businesses that register to become certified will be eligible for free promotion, networking events, up to $500 in rebates through the California Green Business Network, and referral to utility energy efficiency and water conservation rebate programs.

The Academy workshop will:

• Provide an in-depth overview of the Green Business Program and how it can benefit your business
• Teach you how to use and complete our online checklists
• Explain how to meet program requirements and provide the tools and resources that will help you achieve certification
• Allow you to meet other like-minded businesses to foster relationships to support you through certification and beyond

The Academy workshop will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2019, from 3 to 5:30 p.m. hosted by the Downtown Long Beach Alliance at 100 W. Broadway, Suite 120.

Bring your laptop to complete your checklist as we go through it at the Academy.
