Downtown Strategic Plan Survey

The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) is a non-profit community-based organization charged with managing two business improvement districts in Downtown – the Downtown Long Beach Property-Based Improvement District (PBID) and the Downtown Parking Improvement Area (DPIA). This area is roughly bounded by I-710 to the west, 10th Street to the north, Alamitos Avenue to the east, and the shoreline to the south.

This survey is intended to inform a strategic planning process for DLBA, and subsequent PBID renewal for our Downtown. Respondent input will help to identify priorities and improvements for Downtown Long Beach over the next five to ten years and help the organization in accomplishing its mission to cultivate, preserve, and promote a healthy, safe, and prosperous Downtown.

The survey’s primary target audience are residents, business owners, commercial property owners operating or living in Downtown. The secondary target audience are greater Long Beach residents and Downtown visitors.

The survey will be conducted electronically. The DLBA will partner with neighborhood associations, HOA’s, community groups, and property management to help distribute the survey. All information that respondents provide is strictly anonymous. No individual responses will be identified, and all data will be shown in the aggregate.

The survey is anticipated to launch on Tuesday, June 15, and run for approximately three weeks pending survey response rate.

As an incentive for participation, 10 survey respondents will be chosen at random to receive a $50 gift card to a Downtown business of their choosing. To be entered into the drawing participants must provide their email address and name when prompted at the end of the survey. Winners will be notified by the DLBA once the survey period is closed, and entries are processed.
