About DLBA

The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) is a 501 (c) (6) non-profit organization operating on behalf of the tenants and commercial and residential property owners in Long Beach’s Downtown and surrounding areas. It is dedicated to the management, marketing, security, maintenance, advocacy, economic and community development of its two assessment districts in cooperation with the City of Long Beach and the private sector.

Our mission is to cultivate, preserve and promote a healthy, safe and prosperous Downtown.

DLBA has been the voice of the Downtown Long Beach since 1937.

Board of Directors

The Executive Committee is comprised of Board members who serve in leadership positions. The DLBA Executive Committee meets regularly on the first Thursday of each month at 8:00 a.m. 

The DLBA Board of Directors meets the third Wednesday of every even-numbered month at 8:00 a.m.

DLBA Departments

Charged with managing Downtown Long Beach’s improvement districts, the DLBA is a non-profit organization committed to improving and promoting Downtown Long Beach through a wide range of programs and services that include advocacy, capital improvements, beautification projects, economic development, clean and safe, special events, marketing and communications.

The Downtown Long Beach Alliance publishes a wide variety of reports, which can be downloaded from this site. The DLBA also serves as a conduit of information for other local organizations, posting their plans and reports as well.

Representing a community of nearly 5,000 stakeholders that spans from residents to businesses and property owners, the DLBA focuses on a variety of core functions: advocacy, marketing and special events; business recruitment, retention and job creation; activating the public realm to emphasizing cleanliness and safety that ensures a quality of life for thousands. The DLBA is a full-service Downtown management and leadership organization made up of a team of community members that foster partnerships.
