Decked out with its color-changing LED lights and themed music, DLBA’s Information Kiosk made a much anticipated appearance on Halloween for “Trick or Treat on the Promenade”, an event coordinated by the Promenade Area Residents Association. Despite its title, Trick or Treat on the Promenade also featured businesses on Pine, Broadway, and 3rd Street giving out candy and other tasty treats to (little ones, youngsters, little superheroes and princesses) and their parents, who were out for a safe and fun night in Downtown. DLBA Ambassador, Autumn, greeted trick-or-treaters and our furry four-legged friends with a smile and some goodies. Among the hundreds who visited the kiosk and nearby businesses with their children were none other than DTLB Council representatives, Lena Gonzalez and Jeanine Pearce. All in all, it was a great night to visit with (old) friends and make new ones, reminding us of just how fortunate we are to be part of this Downtown community.

DLBA’s Information Kiosk is staffed by a Safety Ambassador and serves as a clearinghouse to Downtown visitors and Stakeholders alike, providing information and materials such as maps, event fliers, and local news. Solar powered with a smart phone charging station, video screen, and music speakers, the Information Kiosk makes appearances at DLBA and community-sponsored events as well as those time when pedestrian traffic is anticipated to be heavy in Downtown. The Kiosk and its ambassador attract a great deal of attention no matter where they’re located, often-times inspiring stakeholders and visitors to stop and inquire about DLBA and its purpose.

Make sure you stop by and say hello the next time you see DLBA’s Information Kiosk and Ambassador in the Downtown. We are always happy to help.
