Seeing the sign up for King Buffet at 525 Pine in recent months has made us eager for new lunch and dinner options every time we pass by. They opened their doors for the first time this week, and hungry diners in DTLB were not disappointed. This is one massive restaurant with a 100-foot long buffet. It’s impressive, to say the least. It’s the latest of many new spots set to open at the former City Place, now called The Streets.
Certainly a spot for banquets and parties, King Buffet can accommodate over 300 guests. Owner Joyce Chen has been eager for the restaurant to open: “We’re happy to be one of the largest restaurants in the area and have been excited by the reception so far,” she said.
There’s no relation to other “King” Chinese restaurants, this is their first location. You will not leave hungry the buffet serves up sushi, all sorts of Chinese and Asian fusion dishes, loads of desserts, salads, seafood, and even crab legs for dinner. Prices are merely $11.99 for lunch and $16.99 for dinner/$17.99 all day on weekends.
The restaurant also offers takeout, where they charge by the pound, and of course, they offer catering for all occasions.
