Long Beach, CA (August 9, 2024) – The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DTLB Alliance) is pleased to present the final Taste of Downtown event this summer, set to take place at the Waterfront Aug. 14 and 15. Media interested in attending and covering the event can RSVP in advance to receive 15 complimentary tasting tickets. RSVP to asiam@dtlb.org and include your publication, title, email address, phone number and any relevant social media accounts.

WHAT:

Taste of Downtown features live music and DJs, bite-size food samples, beer, wine, and cocktails from Downtown’s rich community of creatives, chefs, brewers, and mixologists, along with activities and experiences highlighting each neighborhood. The event is a three-part food and beverage tasting series hosted by the Downtown Long Beach Alliance, where guests can sample portions of signature dishes provided downtown.

For the first time ever, this Taste of Downtown will feature three premiere bar sponsors: Award winning ISM Brewing, Gaucho Beach and Modica’s Restaurant & Deli.

The first Taste of Downtown event in the series took place in May in Downtown’s East Village Arts District and the second in June throughout the Pine & Promenade neighborhood. Taste of Downtown: Waterfront concludes the summer food and drink series for 2024 and officially culminates the program’s 15th anniversary.

TICKETS:

Admission to the event is FREE and one tasting ticket costs $1. Each food and drink vendor will charge accordingly. The average cost per sample is between 3 and 7 tasting tickets, with drinks ranging between 2 and 9 tasting tickets. Tasting tickets may be purchased on the day of the event.

Tickets may also be purchased in advance here. Pre-purchased tickets will be picked up onsite at the event at a Will Call entrance to skip the normal ticketing lines.

 WHEN:

The two-day event will take place in the evenings on Wednesday, August 14, and Thursday, August 15 starting at 5 PM and ending at 9 PM. Alcoholic beverages will end sales at 8 PM.

 WHERE:

This is an outdoor event. The Waterfront event footprint is located right next to Shoreline Village.

 WHO:

Current sponsors for this year’s series include Shoreline Village, AMLI Park Broadway, and Long Beach Transit, with free bike valet, lounge, and tech services provided by Pedal Movement. The bar sponsors for the Waterfront edition will be Modica’s Restaurant & Deli, Gaucho Beach, and ISM Brewing.
