On Friday, April 10, the City of Long Beach amended the Safer At Home order, extending it to May 15 and creating additional rules and guidelines for businesses and residents. Below are key new rules affecting businesses. Click here for additional, detailed guidelines.
- Lasting through May 15, essential businesses that remain open must implement and post Social Distancing Protocols at their facilities and provide necessary equipment to protect employees and the public. All essential businesses must post their protocols by April 15.
- Restaurants may offer market products for pick-up or delivery, but may not convert dining spaces into walk-in markets.
- Face coverings must now be worn within active essential businesses and any time an individual is within six feet of others for 10 minutes or more.
