Victory/Santa Cruz Park Design Guidelines Update Workshop
December 14, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Long Beach Development Services is updating the Victory/Santa Cruz Park Design Guidelines, and we want you to be a part of the process. The updated design guidelines will guide future park improvements.
The goal of the project is to create an inviting public space that is attractive, sustainable, and serves as a rich amenity for Downtown residents, workers, and visitors. The guidelines will identify the types of uses that will be allowed in the park and establish the design vision for the park, including: furnishings, landscaping, and other design elements.

Light refreshments will be served. For any questions, please contact: Alex Muldrow, Planner and Landscape Specialist (562) 570-6607 Alex.Muldrow@longbeach.govÂ
About the Project Victory/Santa Cruz Park was deeded to the City in 1889 and formally declared and dedicated for public park purposes in 1980. The linear park extends one mile on the south side of Ocean Boulevard from Golden Avenue to Alamitos Avenue. The guidelines were last adopted in 1989 and need to be updated to better reflect the transformation of the Downtown over the past 30 years.Â
