Little Women, The Broadway Musical

November 9, 2018 - November 18, 2018

Long Beach Landmark Theatre Company, the city’s newest theatre company and a major new addition to the explosive development of downtown Long Beach, is excited to announce its sixth major production: Little Women the Broadway Musical, opening November 9 and running through November 18.

Based on the timeless Louisa May Alcott classic, this family-friendly musical first debuted on Broadway in 2006 and has been playing to audiences around the country ever since. “This truly is a magical show, and one I’ve wanted to bring to Long Beach for years,” said Megan O’Toole, Artistic Director of the company. “The music is inspiring, the story thoughtfully and intelligently written, and it carries a timely message for today. As we find ourselves in a time when women are again being called upon to courageously step forward and be heard, this 150-year-old story of four sisters facing the world together challenges of us to be our very best, to find our voices, and to stand proud.”

“The production features a top-notch cast and professional live orchestra,” said O’Toole. “The company is passionate about creating a consistently outstanding theatre experience for audiences, and has seen enormous growth, as well as audience enthusiasm and attendance – cementing the company’s place in the community.” Memorable recent productions from LBLTC include The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Titanic the Musical, and Closer Than Ever.

Little Women the Broadway Musical will play Fridays through Sundays, November 9 through 18, with Friday and Saturday performances at 8pm, and Sundays at 7pm. Tickets are priced from $15 to $50 and are available online at LBLandmark.org, or by calling 562-436-2256. The performance venue is located downtown at First Congregational Church, Long Beach at 241 Cedar Avenue.
