Downtown Discussions | Supporting Women in the Workplace

In celebration and recognition of Women’s History Month, the Downtown Long Beach Alliance’s March Downtown Discussions virtual event will address the topic, “Supporting Women in the Workplace.” On March 30 at 11 AM, a panel of local and national female business leaders will discuss the unique strengths and ongoing challenges faced by women in the workforce at levels. Moderated by Temren Wroge, Communications Manager at the National Women’s Business Council, this conversation will include the impacts of COVID-19 on the female workforce, in addition to workplace challenges facing women of color. Panelists will consider what role employers, institutions, and coworkers play in fostering a workplace culture that better promotes and supports all women.
The event will take place March 30, 11 AM, via Zoom Webinar and will also be livestreamed on DLBA’s Facebook account @downtownlongbeach. The event will include a 10-minute introduction, a 60-minute roundtable discussion, and a 20-minutes Q&A session. Audience members may submit questions via Zoom’s Q&A function, and the moderator will ask those they choose.
