This Saturday, Oct. 12 from 4 to 9 PM you’ll get the opportunity to experience the sensation of the entire Downtown arts scene putting its best foot forward! The DTLB Art + Design Walk is returning for its fifth quarterly installment, and Downtown’s museums, art galleries, businesses, and other spaces will be alive with creativity.
The quarterly event — now organized by the Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DTLB Alliance) and partners Studio One Eleven, DTLB Design District, Time and Space, DreamKreator Studio, and Mosaic — gives local artists and vendors the chance to connect with the community and to demonstrate together how art continues to thrive in Downtown.

“Our goal is to showcase the rich, evolving creative landscape of Downtown Long Beach,” said Justine Nevarez, DTLB Alliance Community Outreach & Events Manager. “We hope the DTLB Art + Design Walk will inspire, uplift, and support the many talented individuals and businesses that make our Downtown so vibrant.”
More than 40 Downtown venues will be hosting art activations during the event, which has expanded considerably over the last year and reflects the growth of design and creative industries in DTLB. Attendees will get to experience live and DJ-driven music, browse locally-created art while dining in some of DTLB’s fine restaurants, get ideas for some new body ink while visiting art exhibitions in tattoo shops, and much, much more!

If you’re a photographer, the DTLB Art + Design Walk will provide rich subject matter all afternoon and evening! Join Long Beach Night Walks from 5 to 7 PM at 3rd Street and the Promenade N for a guided photography walk through the Art + Design Walk footprint.
You can enter your photos in DTLB Unfiltered 2024, a contest which runs through Oct. 22. There are six categories in which to enter your work; Each one celebrates the community, culture, and diversity of Downtown. Attendees are encouraged to ride their bikes to the event and to valet-park them at Pedal Movement, 223 E 1st St. Pedal Movement is hosting an art exhibition of its own and will set the day’s tone for you perfectly! A DJ will be there to set the vibe as you pull up to the bike hub.
