Illuminate Downtown Decorating Competition

Each year, Downtown business owners help light up Downtown Long Beach for the festive season with Illuminate Downtown! Participating also allows local businesses the opportunity to win a $250 donation to the Long Beach nonprofit of their choice. You probably already know that Downtown Long Beach is known for its holiday spectacle with decoration efforts from the DTLB Alliance, the Convention Center, The Pike Outlets and Shoreline Village — but its small business that really makes DTLB shine. Join in on the festivities by visiting and voting for participating businesses!

DTLB Pre-Holiday Bar Crawl

We know we’re all gearing up for the busy holiday season, so the DTLB Alliance wants to keep things light and easy with the DTLB Pre-Holiday Bar Crawl!

The name says it all—this is your chance to kick off the holidays with a fun, no-stress night out in Downtown Long Beach. Explore beautifully decorated bars, collect gems along the way, enjoy holiday-themed drinks, and have a blast with friends. Our goal? To make it easy for you to unwind, get into the festive spirit, and enjoy a gamified, fun-filled night. The top prize will be the chance to make a reservation for a group of four (4) at The Miracle at the Ordinaire, along with a $150 gift certification provided by the DTLB Alliance.

Shop Small Saturday

Every year, on the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Downtown Long Beach is all about holiday shopping — putting a special emphasis on shopping small. Join the community in the various neighborhoods in DTLB for Shop Small Saturday 2024, where parking will be made free throughout the downtown all day long!

Throughout the day, there will be various music and pop-up activations, as well as holiday decor and arts and crafts activities for the entire family to enjoy.
