The views available in Downtown Long Beach aren’t just pretty; They’re dynamic! You can see everything from dolphins and pelicans to massive cargo ships and busy harbor cranes, vintage buildings and the latest, sleekest skyscrapers. Downtown’s amazing vistas are conducive to a good meal, so please consider our suggestions when you’re planning your next Waterfront outing! Each of them offers great views and its own unique dining pleasures.    

 

PARKERS’ LIGHTHOUSE & QUEENSVIEW STEAKHOUSE  /  435 SHORELINE VILLAGE DR.

These two restaurants are well known for their excellent food and spectacular picture-window views. Parkers’ Lighthouse specializes in mesquite grilled fresh seafood. Try a Lobster Club Sandwich or Blackened Fish Tacos for lunch, and for dinner you can choose from entrees such as Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna and Mesquite Grilled Salmon. Parker’s Lighthouse is open for lunch Monday through Friday from 11:30 AM to 3 PM, and Saturday and Sunday from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Dinner hours are Sunday through Thursday, 5 PM to 9 PM, Friday and Saturday from 4 PM to 10 PM.Queensview Steakhouse is open for dinner Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 5 to 9 PM, Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10 PM.

In addition to its huge and fantastic lunch and dinner menus, Gladstone’s offers beautiful views of Rainbow Harbor — especially on the patio! Start off your lunch with Jumbo Crab Cakes, then segue into your entree of Hawaiian Swordfish. Dinner options include the Seafood Trio (shrimp skewer, crab cake, and grilled salmon) and Lobster Mac ‘N Cheese! See the full menu here.  

Gladstone’s is open Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 AM to 9:30 PM, Friday and Saturday from 11:30 AM to 10 PM. 

 

SHORELINE AQUATIC PARK  /  200 AQUARIUM WAY

The views from this Waterfront park are so expansive, you’d think you’re seeing all the way to Hawaii! Actually, Catalina looks just as special on a clear day. Shoreline Aquatic Park has plenty of picnic tables scattered throughout, and lots of nice grassy areas for you to spread out your blanket. Pick up a meal from King’s Fish House, George’s Greek Cafe, Modica’s Deli or any of your Downtown favorites and dine al fresco

There are two Hyatt Hotels in Downtown, and they both offer beautiful views! The bar at the Hyatt Regency, which overlooks the Rainbow Lagoon, is open from 1 to 11 PM every day, and you can enjoy hand-tossed pizzas, composed small plates, and sweet views until 9:45 PM.

The Topsail Rooftop Pool & Bar at the Hyatt Centric has one of the best 360-degree panoramas in all of Long Beach! Lounge the day away in a cozy armchair with craft cocktails and small bites. You can even reserve a daybed or cabana here! Topsail is open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 11 AM to 6 PM.
