Launched in February 2025, this unique showcase is a collaboration between Altar Society Brewing & Coffee Co., the DTLB Alliance, and Secret Service LBC, celebrating the intersection of art, culture, and community.

Shifting Tides: Evolution of Long Beach’s Waterfront
Hosted at Studio One Eleven, with concept and production design by Nathan Amondson, visitors can dive into Long Beach’s unique relationship with its waterfront through this compelling exhibition. Shifting Tides explores the city’s historical, current, and future connections to its coastline, offering visitors an immersive visual and narrative journey.
Art + Design Walk Photography Exhibit
This year, Studio One Eleven is celebrating over a year of active participation in the DTLB Art + Design Walk by showcasing a captivating collection of photographs from past events — a visual reflection of the vibrant creative energy that defines our community, by photographer Monica Nouwens.
Nouwens, whose work has been exhibited at LACMA and the Stedelijk Museum, captures the pulse of Downtown Long Beach—its people, architecture, and artistic expressions—through her evocative lens.

DTLB Design District Presents, “What Do You Make Long Beach?” (4th St. & The Promenade N.)
This DTLB Design District pop-up will bring artists’ creativity out of the studios and onto the streets, where artists and creators will share their work with the community through displays, hands-on activities, and immersive experiences. While not a marketplace, it offers a unique opportunity to see local talent in action.
Music to My Eyes – Creative Class Collective (The Edison Theatre 213 E Broadway)
Visit the historic Edison Theatre and take in the visuals presented by Creative Class Collective.
A multi-disciplinary art initiative involving music, painting, and photography, 26 LBUSD students, inspired by pre-selected music tracks and speeches, serve as catalysts for their artistic creations. The tracks include diverse genres and influential speeches such as those by Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Mozart, and Martin Luther King Jr., exposing students to a broad spectrum of cultural and historical influences.
Students interpret their selected music tracks, which aim to evoke a personal emotional response, resulting in a variety of artistic expressions. The creative process will be documented in black-and-white photographs, capturing the visual narrative of the students’ artistic journey.

Emily Carrillo is a Mexican-American graphic designer and artist focusing on culture and the environment.
chris thompkins creates giclee on canvas prints by blending abstract and minimalist aesthetics. This work showcases a seamless fusion of traditional and contemporary art forms, offering a visually striking and emotionally resonant experience. Overall, it brings out feelings of tranquility and thoughtful reflection.

About the exhibit: From 2022 to 2024, the Long Beach Museum of Art has been honored to receive over 250 donated artworks, enriching its permanent collection. This exhibition offers a glimpse into the collection’s growth in recent years, furthering the museum’s 75-year legacy of collecting. The museum is proud to showcase a selection of these donated works, many of which are being displayed for the first time.
At the heart of this collection are the collectors who have supported these artists by acquiring their works and believing in their unique visions. Their personal investments allow artists to push the boundaries of their ideas and voices, enabling them to fully realize their creative aspirations. As the world evolves, so too does the voice of the artist. With education at the core of our mission, it is essential that our collection reflects the diverse narratives that speak to both our present moment and our history.

Team Discotheque’s DJ Aphro-Di
Future Funk is a vibrant genre that fuses classic funk, disco, and soul samples from the 70s and 80s with the energy of modern EDM. It takes the warm, nostalgic grooves of the past and reinvents them with crisp beats, dynamic synths, and infectious rhythms. The result is a sound that’s both retro and fresh—music that makes you want to dance while also stirring memories of a bygone era.
Selling original digital artwork, as well as stickers, keychains and art prints, plus items from the clothing brand “Latina Enough”.
Stephanie Gonzalez’ artwork varies from digital, acrylic, gouache and ink. She will have prints of each style as well as tote bags and hats with her design screen prints and/or embroidered pieces.

Check out the artworks of three different artists, Rene Puente, Richard Allen H, and Mavi, and try a sweet treat from @sweetindulgencelb, who makes gorgeous floral cupcakes and other delectable confections.
Rene Puente, a self described outlaw artist, focuses on works that primarily involves acrylic on wood paintings.
Richard Allen H creates abstract art in mixed media using acrylic, tempera, spray paint and gesso along with some stencils. Richard creates designs that move and have depth and life.
Mavi has a love for nature and spiritual beauty. As an object from the inside becomes possible and tangible from the outside and becomes a mythical being, reflecting all the essence and beauty of nature and life.
The Mom-Up Shop & Project WomanGood (240 Long Beach Blvd.)
Peruse The Mom-Up Shop at Project WomanGood‘s vintage retail pop-up at the former Acres of Books building and support a good cause and check out the impasto mixed media of artist Khamia Powell. The Mom-Up Shop will also be offering a 25% discount on all items throughout the night.

Stop by the Brushstrokes + Beverages painting studio and check out the artworks of Joanna Branch Art, who works in mixed digital media, using photography and digital art to create images of abstract or expressionist in nature.
ADEWALE AGBOKE JR is a character design artist. They have their own original characters which are part of a comic book series.
King Kelp Art paints nautical, ocean, and fish art in watercolor designs and acrylic paintings.

Nehal Shahin (“The Anthropologist”) is an Afro-Egyptian singer of songs from the heart of humanity. She performs as a duet with guitarist and accompanist “Frankenstein”.

Check out paintings and drawings of local Long Beach artists at Hellada Gallery during the 9th annual LONG BEACH OPEN art exhibit 2 to 9 PM. Long Beach Open 2025 is a non-juried graphic art exhibition reflecting the most current state of artistic expression in Long Beach.
The exhibition offers a survey of what is new and what is important in the Long Beach art world today. As the name indicates, the exhibition is open to all artists and all subject matter, providing a forum to share true creativity and self-expression. Long Beach Open 2025 provides and opportunity for artists to comment, and for the public to engage in visual illustration of the challenging realities of today.

Artist Nia Simone sells prints of her original artworks that are perfect for decor ranging in sizes 11×14 in and 12×12 in. Each piece is saturated with beautiful colors and detailed backgrounds. Bill Grisolía Band has won several awards, including Entertainer of the Year, Living Legend (2X), Top 100 Bands USA (2X), and Male Vocalist of the Year.

“A Photographer and a Painter Walk into a Bar” is an exciting new exhibition that merges the distinct yet complementary works of Stacey Crockett and Denise Skeeter. The exhibit playfully explores the intersection of two artistic mediums as Crockett photographs her travels around the globe and painter Skeeter interprets those photographs in her paintings.
The exhibit runs through April 25, and will be open during DTLB Art + Design Walk on April 5 from 3 to 7 PM.
Skateboarding for Autism CA ( The Promenade N. between 4th & 5th St.)
Skateboarding for Autism California is a nonprofit organization providing pop-up skate parks for children with autism. Founded in 2022 by Lion Ed Solis, they also provide one-to-one skateboard instruction for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
CSULB Immersive Design Research Lab ( 200 N. Waite Ct.)
As an experimental testing phase for the upcoming CSULB Immersive Design Research Lab (IDRL), this pop-up exhibit at Mosaic serves as a dynamic preview of the lab’s future explorations.
Stop by between 3 and 6 PM to check out cutting-edge Creative Immersive Technology Experience (CITE) projects from IDRL researchers and CSULB graduate design students, the space will function as a living laboratory—inviting visitors to engage with interactive, forward-thinking solutions that reimagine the intersection of technology, people, and their environments.
This pre-launch activation offers a rare opportunity to test, refine, and iterate immersive design concepts in real-time, fostering dialogue between researchers, creators, and the public before the full lab launch.

Precious loves creating black art in different styles very unique to the eye type of paintings.
DJ Hyphen Select is a sonic alchemist with over 30 years of experience curating transformative musical journeys. Known for his ability to seamlessly blend genres, he crafts sets that transcend the ordinary, weaving deep bass, global rhythms, and ethereal melodies into immersive, multidimensional soundscapes.
Matthew Brooks creates stylized portrait art featuring striking faces and surreal elements as both pencil drawings and digital paintings. Brooks is a character designer as well and draws a lot of original fantastical characters that comic book fans would enjoy.
Brooks will have have original comic book and manga pages that I sell as art prints as well as complete 12- to 24-page stories. Brooks also designs shirts and other apparel applying their artwork to them to create artwear and streetwear.
