In this fun and hands-on class, you will be guided step-by-step through basic knife skills, how to roll and make pasta dough from scratch. You will also learn to make an authentic and versatile Passata Sauce. The name “passata” comes from the Italian verb passare, which means “to pass,” referring to the process of straining the tomatoes to remove seeds and skins. You will gain insight on how to source fresh, seasonal ingredients and specialty spices in order to recreate the perfect Italian date night at home.
No experience is required! We provide all the equipment and ingredients, which are easy to find at local markets if you do not already have them in your home kitchen. Our events are casual and meant to be fun and instructive, not hardcore. This class is designed to be just as fun for the cooking enthusiast who wants to be a part of every step as it is for the first-timer who is happier observing and assisting (or taste testing).
