Long Beach Architecture Week: Civic Center Walking Tour

Participants will enjoy a brief historic slide review of Long Beach’s continuously evolving City Center since its incorporation in 1897 followed by a walking tour through the library to see a range of sustainable design strategies that contributed to LEED platinum certification. Participants will then walk through newly designed Lincoln Park and over to tour the two gleaming 11-story glass-and-steel LEED Gold Certified structures that comprise the Long Beach City Hall and Port of Long Beach Administration Building campus, completed in 2019. First District Councilwoman Mary Zendejas will lead the group through City Hall and Council chambers. Port Officials will showcase the Port Administration building.
