$35 – $55The Songs & Stories of Billie Holiday in Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill by Lanie Robertson.
“Original and riveting.” – The London Times
“A searing portrait of a woman whose art was triumphant.” – OnStage
The time is 1959. The place is a seedy bar in Philadelphia. An audience sits waiting, not knowing that they are about to witness history as the legendary chanteuse steps into the spotlight for the last time, four months before her death at age 44. Lady Day at Emerson’s Bar & Grill is full of heart-melting numbers like “God Bless the Child,” “Strange Fruit,” and “What a Little Moonlight Can Do”. Billie bares her loves and losses in this intimate and stunning Tony Award-winning Broadway musical.
