Longbeachize and Visit Long Beach are partnering to host a free disco and funk party on the Queen Mary in the Observation Bar to kick off Grand Prix weekend. The event will include a costume contest with prizes with music by DJ Tomas De Los Reyes.

Dubbed “Studio 534″—a nod to the famed Studio 54 and The Queen Mary’s working title, “Project 534” before she was christened—this disco dance party will transform the ship’s famed Observation Bar over to the late 1970s and early 1980s.
