The Long Beach Development Services Department will host a ceremonial opening of a 50-year time capsule located at the iconic Oceangate Tower and Plaza in Downtown Long Beach. The time capsule, which is dated October 10, 1972, was buried at the site by the former Long Beach Redevelopment Agency (RDA). The midday event will provide a unique opportunity for attendees to view the live unveiling of the time capsule and its contents.
