The Good Fight for Democracy and Justice, a musical drama for unsung heroes

October 26, 2019 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

$20 – $100

Based on historical events taking place between 1979 and 2000 in Taiwan, this is a story of Mr. Q, a man living under the constant watch of an authoritarian government. Inspired by the tenacity of the people who risk everything to fight for democracy, Mr. Q transforms from an unconcerned bystander into an advocate for democracy. Will he change the fate of a fragile nation? Will democracy and justice prevail? Composed and conducted by Feng Hsiu Lee, a downtown Long Beach resident since 2008.

Other highlights include Miss California 2019 Eileen Kim’s violin performance, plus speakers from Hong Kong Forum and Clergy Laity United for Economic Justice (CLUE).
