The fireworks near the Queen Mary are the centerpiece of Downtown’s Fourth of July Celebration. You can dine, drink, and enjoy fantastic live entertainment on the ship, then get the best seat in the house for the 9 PM fireworks show. 

Actually, watching the fireworks from anywhere on the Downtown Waterfront is just as special; There are several great options for that! Combine the rockets’ red glare with a meal and a festive beverage in Downtown’s eateries, drinkeries and danceries (see our suggestions below) and you’ll be set to party ’til the dawn’s early light.

 

FUSE: JULY 4TH WEEKEND KICK-OFF CELEBRATION

Get your July 4th Weekend party started early! Alegria Nightclub at 115 Pine Ave. will be ablaze with the best in hip-hop, EDM, reggaeton, top 40 and more on Thursday night, July 3. THE QUEEN MARY FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION

The Queen Mary is the place for a complete 4th of July Celebration! On Friday, July 4, The Queen will be alive with music and entertainment all day. Roam the historic decks and discover themed parties spanning the decades, from a 1910 Old-Time Fair and a 1940s USO Bunker to a ‘70s Disco and an uber-hip Silent Disco Afterparty! AQUARIUM OF THE PACIFIC 4TH OF JULY BBQ

Celebrate Independence Day at the Aquarium of the Pacific’s 4th of July BBQ, Friday, July 4 from noon to 2 PM. St. Louis BBQ ribs, grilled tequila-cilantro chicken, mini hot dogs, watermelon wedges, pie tarts, and much more are on the menu! Make sure to dress in your red, white, and blue best. HARBOR BREEZE CRUISES & CITY CRUISES

Viewing a Fourth of July fireworks display while on board a boat is a unique experience indeed! The reflections on the water and the sounds echoing off of Downtown buildings create a different kind of magic. Harbor Breeze Cruises will be updating their boat schedules to include special July 4th cruises. Click here for updates as the holiday approaches. Guests are encouraged to arrive at least three hours early for ease of parking and onboarding. 

City Cruises is also hosting a Fourth of July Dinner Cruise. Board their boat moored at Dock 6A in Rainbow Harbor at 6:30 PM, then enjoy summer cocktails and a chef-prepared buffet meal before gazing skyward at the 9 PM fireworks from on deck or inside! JULY 4TH HOLIDAY YACHT PARTY CRUISE

The “Dream On” yacht is ready for the 4th of July Pier Pressure Red, White, & Fireworks Party Cruise, and it wants YOU and your crew to come along! The boat is moored at 100 Aquarium Way, dock 6A. Boarding begins at 5:45 PM. PARKERS’ LIGHTHOUSE

Parkers’ Lighthouse, that signature Shoreline Village spot with the big red roof, will be open on Friday, July 4, offering its regular lunch menu from 11:30 AM to 3 PM and the dinner menu from 5 to 9 PM. SHORELINE VILLAGE 

Shoreline Village is an amazing place to end up on July 4th! You can indulge in a meal and/or some drinks at a great restaurant, then head over to the Off-Boardwalk Stage near the Funnel House for the ‘80s edition of Flashback Fridays, the fun music series that will last all summer long. DJ Leo will spin his rad repertoire of ‘80s hits from 6 to 10 PM. Guests are encouraged to wear their flashiest & gnarliest ‘80s attire! Watch the sunset over the sea, then enjoy the fireworks show, which launches from just across Rainbow Harbor at 9 PM. SHENANIGANS

Those who wish to get their July 4th party started early in the day are invited to do that at Shenanigans Irish Pub & Grille in the heart of Shoreline Village! Boss DJs, a hard-grooving Sublime tribute band, will hit at 1 PM. Tommy Peacock, a band that plays hits from all the decades, will take over at 7 PM. Throughout the day you’ll have access to the very tasty Shenanigans food menu and the celebratory bevvies that go with it! 

 

RIDE A WATER TAXI! FOURTH OF JULY SCHEDULES

AquaLink Water Taxi

The Long Beach Transit AquaLink and AquaBus water taxis will be operating under a special holiday schedule from Thursday, July 3 through Sunday, July 6! The AquaBus cruises Rainbow Harbor and stays Downtown-local, fare is $1 each way. The AquaLink connects Downtown with Alamitos Bay and is $5 one way. Long Beach Transit will post the schedule here as the big holiday weekend draws near. Please note that tickets for the AquaBus must be purchased by cash or the Ride LBT app until further notice. 4TH OF JULY AT HALO: STARS, STRIPES, & SKYLINES
