World Cup 2026 is here – literally! The United States, Canada, and Mexico are co-hosting the 23rd edition of this prestigious international soccer tournament, which will be viewed by billions of people worldwide. If World Cup fun and enjoyment are your goals, Downtown Long Beach is here to give you all the assists you need at the LA Galaxy Soccer Celebration.  

This special event series consists of free outdoor viewing parties in DTLB during the Cup’s Group Stage, Thursday, June 11 through Saturday, June 27. Soccer fans can catch World Cup matches on a big screen, creating an exciting atmosphere to watch every moment of the action. Choose from multiple days of elite-level competition while enjoying spectator-friendly streets closed to vehicle traffic on Pine Avenue and Broadway. 

There will be two types of Downtown street parties during the Soccer Celebration: Major Activation Days and Regular Viewing Days

Here is what viewers can look forward to during Major Activation Days

  • Live match viewings on large screens with premium audio
  • Appearances from Galaxy alumni, players, and special guests
  • Limited-edition merchandise and giveaways
  • Sponsor activations and interactive experiences
  • Shareable fan moments, including music and photo opportunities
  • Family-friendly spaces and youth programming

On Major Activation Days, both Pine Avenue (between Broadway and 3rd Street) and Broadway (between Pine and Pacific avenues) will be closed to auto traffic. On Regular Viewing Days, only Pine Avenue between Broadway and 3rd Street will be closed.

  • For World Cup ticket holders who need a lift to the World Cup matches being played just up the road at So-Fi Stadium, Long Beach Transit has you covered. Simply reserve a parking spot in City Place Lots A, B, or C, then walk to the corner of Long Beach Blvd. and 1st St. to catch your bus, which will cost only $1.75 each way.
