(January 19, 2021) The City of Long Beach has launched a new web portal, VAXLB, to show its progress in vaccinating the community against COVID-19 and to keep residents informed of their eligibility. Visit the site for general information and to learn when you will be eligible for a vaccine appointment. Please click here for notifications.

According to VAXLB and a press conference held by Mayor Robert Garcia today, the City is currently vaccinating health care workers, seniors 65 and older, government emergency response workers, and long-term care facility residents.

Mayor Garcia also announced that this week the City is beginning to set up appointments for food service and grocery workers through their worksites. Appointments for educators will begin to be scheduled through their work sites next week.

The Downtown Long Beach Alliance is regularly updating its COVID-19 Resource page with information related to vaccine eligibility. Please bookmark this page and check back for updates: https://downtownlongbeach.org/covid-19-updates/. Additionally, please share this resource with your friends and neighbors.

Stay at Home Order Update: Please be advised that the Southern California Regional Stay at Home Order remains in effect and will stay in place until intensive care unit (ICU) availability at regional hospitals reaches 15%. ICU capacity is currently 0%. To track the Stay at Home Order and ICU capacity, DLBA has installed an automatically updating widget created by the State of California on our COVID-19 Resource Page.
