For the 16th year, the Downtown Long Beach (DTLB) Alliance is excited to present the Taste of Downtown culinary series! It begins with Sip, Shop, & Stroll on Saturday, May 3 from noon to 4 PM in the East Village. This event, now in its second year, pairs local eateries and drinkeries with East Village businesses to create a uniquely flavorful shopping experience.
“We are very much looking forward to welcoming the community again as the weather begins to warm,” said Breann Robinson, manager of The Elemental Shop, the newly renovated and expanded metaphysical supply store that is one of almost 20 participating East Village businesses. “We are excited to enjoy the beautiful weather and the people we most love to service. Sip, Shop, & Stroll supports us by bringing exposure to Long Beach and all the businesses that are family-run, local, and unique to our city.”

Admission to all Taste of Downtown events, including Sip, Shop, & Stroll, is free! Taste Tickets, which go for $1 apiece, can be redeemed for all the tasty offerings available at the events. They can be purchased during Sip, Shop & Stroll at LBMA Downtown at 356 E. 3rd St. and on the corner of 1st Street and Linden Avenue on the patio of Arabian Grill. Bonus: Did you know that May is National Bike Month? Ride your bike to the event and drop it off at the free bike valet by Pedal Movement, located at LBMA Downtown, and enjoy the event worry-free!
MAKE Collectives in The East Village Arts District
Music performances and family-friendly activities will happen throughout the day. Sip, Shop, & Stroll takes place a week before Mother’s Day, so keep Mom in mind as you browse the East Village for fashion, records, wellness products, mushroom tea, pottery lessons, and even a gift certificate for Mom’s new tattoo!

Taste of Downtown: Pine & Promenade, which happens Wednesday and Thursday, June 11 and 12 from 5 to 9 PM and Taste of Downtown: Bevs, Bites, & Beats is on for Saturday, Aug. 16 from 5 to 9 PM at the Downtown Waterfront. The eclectic, on-point radio station KCRW will be providing the beats!
