Poki Cat will celebrate its “Grand Opening” at The Streets in Downtown Long Beach on September 22. At Poki Cat, each bowl is built to order and made to the guests’ taste and dietary needs from Poki Cat’s selection of freshly prepared ingredients.  Joining Poki Cat owner Jin Luo for the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be a Representative from Mayor Garcia’s office; a Representative of Shooshani Developers and owners of The Streets; a Representative from 1st District Councilwoman Lena Gonzalez’s office; and DLBA stakeholders, along with city and business officials.

The legend of Poki Cat starts with Robert Luo, Master Chef and local sushi legend. Chef Luo is the mastermind behind the flavors of Poki Cat and among the first to bring sushi to California. He has over three decades of experience building community around sushi. His work has brought him through renowned restaurants, from local sushi spots to Nobu’s legendary flagship store Matsuhisa, to operating his own highly successful sushi restaurants. His inspiration comes from the dream to break the shackles of tradition in both culture and taste and to make healthy, quality food and beverages more accessible.
