Music Tastes Good, the massive festival set to take place over the course of three days in DTLB (September 23-25) has announced the hiring of Mark Magdaleno as their Community Liason to handle community issues.

Magdaleno will be addressing concerns at two public community meetings, each hosted with East Village Long Beach Association, one in the morning and one in the evening.

The first meeting will be held on Thursday, August 25 at 10AM at The Lafayette building located at 140 Linden Avenue on the 2nd floor.

The second meeting will be held on Monday, August 29 at 7:30pm at Padre, located at 525 E. Broadway. It will be held in their upstairs space.

Flyers are soon to be canvassed throughout the area while MTG’s website, http://mtglb.co/, will continue to be updated with information.

Magdaleno’s duties include:

  • Work with Festival Director /Manager to coordinate meetings with community organizations, political organizations, and stakeholders.
  • Attend all community outreach meetings.
  • Advise and assist with community issues as they arise
  • Develop and maintain communication strategy with community regarding street closures, access points and parking relocation.
