Make the most of the summer weekend in Downtown Long Beach! DTLB Live! brings country music, dancing, local shopping, outdoor dining, and summer fun to The Promenade on Saturday. Then trade traffic for people-powered fun at Beach Streets: Kickin’ It Downtown on Sunday, complete with car-free streets, local businesses, and viewing parties for the World Cup Final between Spain and Argentina.
Don’t worry about getting thirsty during this warm weekend; Both events feature EZ (Entertainment Zone) Sip areas where you can cool off with your favorite bevvies.
DTLB LIVE!
On Saturday, July 18 from 4 to 8 PM, this monthly event on The Promenade between Broadway and 3rd Street is going full-on country! Put on your cowboy hat & boots, rustle up your posse, and mosey on over to this roundup for an evening of dancing, shopping local, and summer vibes.
Country Vision Band will be providing the live music. They’ve got all the upbeat country tunes covered, from Johnny Cash to Luke Bryan, Dolly Parton to Shania Twain. NOTE: This is an EZ (Entertainment Zone) Sip event, so you can sip an ice-cold beer or cocktail from a participating Promenade business. As they say at the square dance, get ready to Promenade your partner!

BEACH STREETS: KICKIN’ IT DOWNTOWN
The City of Long Beach’s signature open streets event is returning to DTLB this Sunday, July 19 from 11 AM to 4 PM. The Downtown route, which features three activation hubs, will allow you to walk, bike, skate, shop, and thoroughly enjoy a warm, sunny summer day with no auto traffic!
EAST VILLAGE HUB (Broadway & Linden)
• Street closure on Linden Avenue from Broadway to 1st St.
• Beats provided by LBC Park Jam (@lbcparkjam).
• Family friendly activities such as face painting, vinyl art and flower art activations.
• Historic East Village Arts District businesses will host various storefront activations (@eastvillageartsdistrict).
THE PROMENADE EZ SIP ZONE (Promenade & Broadway)
• EZ Sip activated! This means on the Promenade you can park your bike or scooter, purchase a beverage from a participating bar and enjoy your drink outdoors on The Promenade within the designated zone. This is a great way to support local businesses.
• A 10-ft LED screen showing the World Cup Final between Spain and defending champ Argentina starting at noon!
NORTH PINE HUB (Pine & 8th St.)
• A main stage at the end of the street closure with DJs and live performances!
– Musical Experience w/ DJ Upperhand Keem (@upperhandkeem).
– Live Soulful Latin Vibes via the California Latin Band (@californialatinband).
• A 16-ft. LED screen showing the World Cup Final starting at noon.
• Beer Garden for those 21+.
• Activities including kids’ soccer and face painting activations, as well as T-Shirt screen printing.
