Christian Outreach in Action Hosts 4th Annual “Spread the Love” Initiative This Valentine’s Day
Long Beach, CA — This Valentine’s season, Christian Outreach in Action (COA) is inviting the community to come together for its 4th Annual Spread the Love initiative, a one-day outreach event dedicated to sharing kindness, encouragement, and hope throughout Long Beach.
On Friday, February 13, 2026, COA will distribute more than 5,000 hand-cut paper hearts, each featuring handwritten messages of love and encouragement, along with care packages filled with hygiene essentials and snacks. The initiative will take place throughout the day, beginning at COA’s headquarters in Long Beach.
The hearts and care packages will be shared with first responders, seniors, individuals experiencing homelessness, and everyday community members—from people walking their dogs to those waiting at bus stops—spreading compassion across the city.
“This initiative allows us to share love and hope with those who may not hear words of encouragement on a daily basis,” said a COA spokesperson. “It’s an opportunity to come together as a community and make Valentine’s Day a celebration of compassion and unity.”
The Spread the Love campaign brings together nonprofit organizations, churches, schools, and individual volunteers who help prepare and distribute the hearts and care packages. Community members are encouraged to participate by writing messages on paper hearts, helping with distribution, or both.
