The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DTLB Alliance) will launch the third edition of its DTLB Food Series on July 31, and for the first time, the program is being delivered entirely in Spanish. This free, six-week educational initiative supports Spanish-speaking food and beverage entrepreneurs with tools and resources to build sustainable businesses in Long Beach.
“This third edition of the DTLB Food Series is more than just another workshop series — it’s an intentional effort to reach the entrepreneurs who often face the highest barriers,” said Stephanie El Tawil, Economic Development & Policy Manager at the Alliance. “By offering the entire program in Spanish, we’re not only providing resources — we’re making sure the local Latino food community is fully seen, heard, and supported.”
The series runs weekly from July 31 through Sept. 4, 2025, covering topics from licensing and menu development to branding and procurement. Graduates of the program will also have the opportunity to showcase their businesses at The Weekly Crave, a vibrant Downtown Long Beach pop-up event celebrating local culinary talent.
Applications for participants are open through July 31. For more information, visit the webpage here.
