LONG BEACH, CA [May 20, 2026] – The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DTLB Alliance) is inviting residents, workers, visitors and community stakeholders to participate in a new Events & Programming Survey running through June 30. Feedback collected through the survey will help shape future events, activations and experiences throughout Downtown Long Beach.
“Great downtowns are shaped by the people who experience them every day,” said James Ahumada, Deputy CEO and Senior Vice President at the Alliance. “We want to know what’s working, what people want more of and how we can continue creating events and programs that make Downtown Long Beach more vibrant, welcoming and connected.”
The DTLB Alliance currently produces and supports a variety of community-focused programs and events, such as:
- DTLB Art + Design Walk — a quarterly celebration of local artists, designers and businesses featuring exhibitions, live performances and interactive experiences throughout Downtown.
- DTLB Live! — a free outdoor music series bringing live entertainment and community gatherings to the Promenade.
- Taste of Downtown — now in its 17th year, the annual dining series showcasing Downtown Long Beach’s diverse restaurant community.
- Paws on the Promenade — a fun and free pet and pet-owner monthly meet up.
These are some of the events among many other small activations the organization currently coordinates. Participants are encouraged to share which events they currently attend, what types of programming they would like to see more of, and ideas for improving future experiences in Downtown Long Beach through an events lens overall.
The survey will remain open through June 30 and will be distributed online and through community outreach efforts across Downtown Long Beach. For any questions or general feedback on the survey, please email Sr. Placemaking and Activations Manager Rodrigo Rodarte at RodrigoR@dtlb.org.
