LONG BEACH, CA [July 14, 2026]– The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DTLB Alliance) invites the community to experience the excitement of the World Cup Final while enjoying Beach Streets: Kickin’ It Downtown on Sunday, July 19, with two free public viewing parties in Downtown Long Beach (DTLB).
As thousands of residents and visitors explore the City-hosted open streets event by bike, foot, skateboard, scooter, or roller skates, Downtown Long Beach will offer two large-screen viewing experiences broadcasting the global tournament final live from 12 to 2 PM. Fans can gather at either The Promenade or the North Pine Hub at Pine Avenue and 8th Street to cheer on the world’s biggest sporting event while taking in the energy of Beach Streets.
“Following the incredible community response to the LA Galaxy Soccer Celebrations hosted in partnership with the City throughout June, we’re excited to give fans a final opportunity to come together for one of the biggest matches in the world,” said Austin Metoyer, President and CEO of the DTLB Alliance. “Beach Streets provides the perfect setting to experience the championship match while exploring Downtown Long Beach’s neighborhoods and supporting our local businesses.”
The watch party on The Promenade will feature a 10-foot LED screen within the DTLB Alliance’s EZ Sip activation, where guests can purchase beverages from participating nearby businesses and enjoy them outdoors within the designated area. The activation encourages attendees to support local restaurants, bars, and businesses while watching the championship match.
Just north, the North Pine Hub will feature an even larger 16-foot LED screen, creating another lively destination for soccer fans. The hub will also include a beer garden for guests ages 21 and over to enjoy, a main stage with live entertainment from DJ Upperhand Keem and the California Latin Band, plus family-friendly activities including youth soccer games, face painting, and caricature drawing.
The DTLB Alliance will activate three locations throughout Downtown during Beach Streets:
- East Village Hub (Broadway & Linden Avenue): Enjoy music from LBC Park Jam, family-friendly art activities including face painting, vinyl art, and flower art, along with storefront activations hosted by businesses throughout the Historic East Village Arts District.
- The Promenade EZ Sip Zone (Broadway & The Promenade): Watch the World Cup Final on a 10-foot LED screen while enjoying beverages purchased from participating nearby businesses within the designated EZ Sip Zone.
- North Pine Hub (Pine Avenue & 8th Street): Experience the World Cup Final on a 16-foot LED screen alongside live music, DJs, a beer garden, youth soccer activities, face painting, and caricature drawing.
Pine Avenue: Various smaller screens will also be available along Pine Avenue for attendees to enjoy as they explore the event footprint.
Beach Streets: Kickin’ It Downtown is a free, Open Streets Event presented by the City of Long Beach that temporarily closes streets to vehicle traffic, creating space for people to walk, bike, roll, and explore local neighborhoods and businesses.
