Following a successful night of indie rock in December, Live After 5 returns in January with a Vinyl DJ Edition. DTLB’s monthly free music series will be taking over four of Downtown’s coolest bars and coffee houses as attendees dance the night away on January 12, 2017.

Truly a night for even the most eclectic music-lovers, DJ’s will be spinning everything from hip hop to doowop. These noted tastemakers will have you dancing the night away as you discover your new favorite song.

Curated by Valdas Karalis, January’s event will feature some of Southern California’s top record-collectors and DJ’s playing their favorite jams. “I’ve been collecting 45s forever and have really come to know some amazing DJs in Long Beach and LA,” said Karalis, “So, to be able to share my favorite DJs with impeccable music taste with Live After 5 is a dream come true.”

Beachwood BBQ Blendery
5PM – 8PM
DJ Daiana Feuer
LA tastemaker, Daiana Feuer is a writer, photographer, interviewer, video maker, event organizer, ukulele player and leader of psychedelic doo-wop band Bloody Death Skull. Her eclectic taste in music blends vintage and current sounds, rockabilly, girl groups, art pop, psych, soul, reggae, disco, garage, rock, and world music, rarities and hits.

Linden Public
5PM – 8PM
DJ’s Fando Y Lis & Ye Ye
You may know Fando Y Lis as Lili De La Mora from Long Beach bands Minuature Houses and This Year Zero, she is an avid collector of soul and international records. Fellow international record collector, Ye ye spins French and Spanish vinyl.

8PM – 11PM
DJ Chris Ziegler
DJ Chris Ziegler, editor-in-chief and co-founder of music mag, LA Record will be spinning back from the grave garage, psych, soul and rock ‘n’ roll.

The Blind Donkey Long Beach
8PM – 11PM
DJ Leeset & World-Pacific
DJ LeeSet spins the best early R&B, soul, RNR, girl groups and more. She plays weekly DJ nights in LA and does LA Confidential with Nick Waterhouse.
