RFP Announcement
Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) is pleased to announce that a Request for Proposal (RFP) for operations of our Clean and Safe Team is now live.
Applicants are encouraged to review the Downtown Long Beach PBID Management Plan and DLBA Strategic Plan when preparing their proposals.
The Clean and Safe team currently services 150 blocks, or 1.38 square miles, of Downtown Long Beach with daily pressure washing services, homeless outreach, safety ambassador and porter assistance, and maintenance of trees, tree wells and walkways. Easily recognized with their red shirts and jackets, DLBA’s Clean and Safe team members provide a friendly face and point of contact for the Downtown community, as well as visitors and tourists.
As outlined in the Downtown Long Beach PBID Management Plan and DLBA’s Strategic Plan, Clean and Safe proposals should ensure the seamless operation of a robust Clean and Safe program, while adding new services to enhance the overall feeling of safety in Downtown. Proposals should also include a homeless outreach program tailored to the unique qualities and needs of Downtown’s unhoused population.
