The Downtown Long Beach Alliance (DLBA) is currently seeking candidates interested in serving on its Board of Directors for a two-year term beginning October 1, 2017.
About the DLBA
The DLBA is a non-profit community-based organization whose mission is to cultivate, preserve, and promote a healthy safe, and prosperous Downtown. By balancing the interests of residents as well as businesses, the DLBA creates tangible progress by way of vested interest and solidified partnerships across local, municipal and commercial lines. About the DLBA Board of Directors
Covering a geographic area that includes two (Business and Property) Improvement Districts and over 150-square blocks serving all Downtown stakeholders, The DLBA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of individuals that represent property and business owners, residents and community partners.
Between the Board of Directors and DLBA’s various committees, over 70 DTLB stakeholders volunteer their time to improve the urban center’s community. The direct inclusion of members from the diverse constituencies of Downtown Long Beach permits the DLBA to better serve interests, address current issues and implement future solutions.
In line with the DLBA’s strategic plan, organizational businesses is discussed at Board Meetings along with special guest speakers and opportunities for professional development. Read more information here.

You are a stakeholder of either or both BIDs by virtue of the location of your business, residential, or commercial property. Please see the maps illustrating those boundaries.

After the deadline, DLBA’s Governance Committee will review submissions and interview potential candidates between June 26 and July 21, 2017.
