America’s birthday is right around the corner and DTLB is ready to celebrate in style from waterfront to on the water. Getting around on the 4th can prove to be a challenge, hop in a Lyft, Long Beach Yellow Cab or take Long Beach Transit’s free Passport Route run every 12 minutes until 12:30AM Wednesday, July 5th.  Here’s your look at just some of what’s happening in Downtown Long Beach come Independence Day.

All-American 4th of July Celebration at the Queen Mary

Prices are $44.00 per adult (ages 12+) if tickets are purchased prior to July 4th.
On July 4th at the door the price is $49 per adult (ages 12+)

Celebrate Independence Day in style, get there early and spend the day aboard the Queen Mary. Explore the ship, listen to live music, enjoy family-friendly entertainment and a giant fireworks extravaganza.

It’s an “All-American” summer aboard the Queen Mary!  Guests will check out  special live entertainment, family games, arts & crafts, special historic tours and a patriotic theatrical movie in the Queen Mary Theatre and so much more fill the decks of the legendary ship.  There will be a special performance by the hit 80’s artist The Pointer Sisters.  The event sells out each year, so get your tickets early to secure your spot.

 

4th of July Celebration at the Shoreline Village

Shoreline Village will have two live bands, a magic show and Uncle Sammy on Stilts roaming around the village for your entertainment. In addition, you’ll catch great views of the Queen Mary firework show. Show up early to grab a good seat!

 Fuego’s July 4th
Fuego at Hotel Maya celebrates four days for the Fourth of July beginning with live music on the patio during dinner on Friday, June 30; live music poolside on Saturday and Sunday, July 1-2; live music at Fuego specialty brunch on Sunday, July 2; and live music, barbecue favorites and a spectacular fireworks show from the nearby Queen Mary on Tuesday, July 4 from 6-9 p.m.

July 4th Fireworks Cruise

Harbor Breeze Cruises takes a break from whale watching on the 4th for special fireworks cruises. Observe the awe-inspiring firework displays. Start a new tradition and celebrate our nation’s independence from the water on one of their beautiful boats.

The Reef’s Red White and Boom

Red, White & Boom Party: The Reef has some of the best views of fireworks in Long Beach and is holding a barbecue buffet where guests can enjoy classic American dishes while also taking in the sights and sounds of the bay. Festivities are from 8 to 11p.m.

July 4th Late Night and BBQ at Aquarium of the Pacific

Celebrate Independence Day with the red, white, and blue fish at the Aquarium of the Pacific. Families will be able to witness the ambiance of the Aquarium at night and get a fish-eye view of the Queen Mary fireworks display. Wave the flag, watch the fireworks, and enjoy some freshly grilled BBQ with the Aquarium of the Pacific. You’ll also be able to journey inside the Aquarium to see wonders of the sea until 10:00 p.m.
