Yes, you read that correctly. Altar Society Brewing at 230 Pine Ave. is commemorating St. Patrick’s Day with a full nine days of good times! From Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 22 you can get tasty drink specials such as the Blueberry Whiskey Smash (Jameson Irish Whiskey, ginger ale, blueberry syrup, and mint), toast the holiday with fellow pub crawlers, and get energized by the lively brewery vibes. Her Royal Majesty is hosting two St. Patrick’s Day events! The Luck of the Irish Celebration happens this Sunday, March 15 from 2 to 7 PM. A live DJ will provide your party soundtrack of Irish songs while you sip Irish cocktails and dance along. You’ll get even further into the green-ness with a performance by traditional Celtic dancers. Access to the entire ship is included with your admission.
It’s a clubbier vibe on Tuesday, March 17; Use the password “Irish I was drunk” to gain access to the Shamrock Celebration at No. 3 Speakeasy from 7 to 11 PM. You’ll party into the night with Irish beats & spirits in an awesome below-deck atmosphere.

Paint a good-luck masterpiece in a relaxing and festive space this Sunday, March 15. Hellada Gallery at 117 Linden Ave. in the East Village is your host from 2 to 3:30 PM. Bring your pals, a date, or fly solo! Artists of all abilities are welcome at this stress-free pre-St. Patrick’s Day creative escape.

Forecast for St. Patrick’s Day next Tuesday, March 17: Cool, clear, and perfect for an outdoor paint & sip event! The parklet at Modica’s Restaurant, 455 E Ocean Blvd. is the location for a chill, inspiring painting session from 7 to 9 PM. Partake in Italian food and wine while getting instruction from artist Bryce Gier. You’ll leave with a 16” x 20” canvas of “Lucky Flowers” and plenty of time to continue your DTLB St. Paddy’s celebration.

The epicenter of live music in Shoreline Village at 423 Shoreline Village Dr. is opening an hour early (10 AM) on St. Patrick’s Day, giving you the best chance to have a delicious meal and rock out to live music all day and night! The ‘80s new wave and rock band Skinny Ties will play from 1 to 6 PM, followed by the high-energy rock and country sounds of Rawnsley from 7 PM to midnight. The awesome Shenanigans food menu includes many Irish treats, so bring your appetite!

All four venues at the big corner of Broadway and Pine offer enticing specials on St. Patrick’s Day! On the ground floor, Shannon’s on Pine will serve $8 green beer and $6 green jello shots. The pub will also have a complimentary corn beef & cabbage buffet from noon to 2 PM while supplies last. Next door, The Carvery restaurant will serve an expanded selection of Irish whiskeys and a delicious corned beef & cabbage plate.
Downstairs, Secret Island tiki lounge will serve a specialty cocktail, “Cereal Milk,” starting tomorrow night, March 13 and continuing through St. Patrick’s Day. It’s happening at The 4th Horseman, 121 W 4th St., from 7 to 10 PM. Arrive hungry and ready to ramp up your St. Paddy’s excitement at this edgy eatery.

A DTLB mainstay since the late ‘60s at 803 E Broadway, Clancy’s keeps the vibes low-key and the good bevvies flowing on St. Patrick’s Day. Play pool and darts, hang out on the patio, and toast your mates with your drink of choice. This cozy neighborhood bar is easy to find; Just look for the green neon signs at the corner of Broadway and Alamitos! Clancy’s opens at 3 PM.

As one of the most popular Irish pubs in SoCal, the Auld Dubliner at 71 S Pine Ave. doesn’t have to change much for St. Patrick’s Day! It’s opening an hour early (11 AM) on March 17 and will be offering its full food and drink menus of Irish delights. Irish band The Bell Boys will be creating the perfect atmosphere for St. Paddy’s festivities in a marathon session from 1 PM ‘TIL 1 AM!
